About This Video

Hey everybody, it’s Ian the Off Kilter Crafter, and this video is my full January 2026 month recap—aka a whirlwind of “why am I like this?” deadlines as I get ready for QuiltCon. The big ongoing make is my Trellis Garden quilt that’s been living on my livestreams all month. I’m having a blast watching it grow, and y’all already know blue and orange is one of my favorite combos, so I’m expecting this one to really stand out once it’s finally together (hopefully early February!). I also wrapped up a few QuiltCon-specific projects, including my mini quilt swap piece… which I can’t show you yet because it has to stay secret until my recipient gets it. You can peek at the quilting on the back, though, and next month I’ll be able to reveal the whole thing and tell you how it was received. And then there’s my quilted jacket using Patrick Lose’s Glisten fabric—pieces are quilted, cut, and ready to assemble… I just have to work up the courage, because if I mess it up, I don’t exactly have extra fabric lying around. On top of that, I got my new quilt labels with my refreshed logo (label your quilts, always), finished binding a Halloween-vibes Mother Goose quilt, and prepped for the Field of Dreamers puzzle mystery quilts (Night Glow and Deer Diary). I also talk about the not-so-fun business side—stickers, LLC research, and the pattern layout that’s haunting me thanks to incorrect margins. Normal is just a setting on the dryer, y’all.
