About This Video

It’s the beginning of March, which means I’m in full “May March Quilty Madness” mode—and I’m also jumping into IG Quiltfest over on Instagram. But this video is all about rewinding February, and let’s be real: February was basically QuiltCon prep, QuiltCon itself, and then me trying to remember to take pictures (spoiler: I did not take nearly enough). QuiltCon in Raleigh was such a good year—honestly, it keeps getting better every time—and my favorite part will always be the people. The face-to-face time with friends, brands, shop owners, and new connections is what makes QuiltCon feel like QuiltCon. I also talk about being “a little bit” of the talk of the show because I wore my very first quilted jacket—made with fabric I worked with Norfcott to acquire—and I kept it under wraps until QuiltCon. I’ll be doing a full vlog-style video on that jacket later (yes, mistakes included, because I want to be transparent). I share about the mini quilt swap too: I made a geometric mini for my recipient, and I received the most perfect rainbow-with-a-black-cat mini from Rehea—Halloween + rainbows? Yes please. Outside of QuiltCon, I finished Becca’s Trellis Garden quilt in a blue-and-orange happy place, using some overdyed fabrics she gave me, and Tiffany quilted it with a topographic-map vibe. I also check in on Cotton Cuts mysteries (I’m behind—clues are literally on the shelf), tease the upcoming Under the Sea reveal, and remind you about the Alaska cruise signup and future travel plans.
