Heat. Heat. Heat. That’s basically how I kicked off this livestream, plus a little headache drama (bright light + teleprompter = me squinting at y’all). But once we got our coffee-time chat in—vacation plans, staying active in the algorithm while I’m at Disney, and a quick Cutterpillar update—we got right back to the Frosted Quilt. In Frosted Quilt Part 3, I’m officially in the “put the quilt top together” phase. I finished all the blocks and even tried to be responsible by stacking them in row order… until I realized I had leftover squares. Spoiler: they weren’t leftovers. They were for those four stars that use both backgrounds (white and black), so I had to go back and make four more stars. Once that was handled, we started joining blocks into rows, pressing seams, and keeping everything alternating correctly—black background, white background, repeat—so the layout stays crisp and graphic. The big takeaway: organization helps, but reading the pattern helps more. I label my rows with lettered Wonder Clips so I can grab-and-sew without overthinking, and I’m not afraid to twist seams or do what I need to do to keep things moving—this one’s for my bed, not a judging table.
