It’s Sunday after QuiltCon, I’m back home, and yes—heat, heat, heat. In this video I’m basically letting you relive QuiltCon 2026 with me, especially if you couldn’t make it in person. I share a few of the fun “after QuiltCon” highlights (like the handmade rainbow basket I got in the mail, the tote bag with my logo embroidered on it, and yes… the absolutely ginormous Galaxy bar because chocolate is the way to my heart). I also show my quilted jacket—made from an actual quilt I then cut apart—and talk about how it went over at QuiltCon (including the fashion show moment). Then we get into the main event: some of my favorite quilts from the show. I call out quilts that grabbed me for color, composition, technique, and that “not your typical QuiltCon quilt” vibe—like Racing Stripes (MQG Excellence Award), the Lone Star-inspired diamond study with over a thousand individually cut diamonds, and several standouts from the Diamond Quilting Challenge. I also give a quick heads-up that a few quilts/themes can include spicy language or political content, so you can opt out if that’s not your thing. Overall, this is me nerding out over modern quilting done really, really well—and telling you exactly why these pieces stopped me in my tracks.
