In this video I’m breaking down what’s in my camera bag for 2024—the cameras, lenses, audio, and the everyday accessories I bring to most fashion shoots and smaller productions. For this kind of work I prefer a smaller, lightweight but durable rolling case (my Lowpro Photo Stream) because it’s perfect for a one-man-band setup and it keeps everything contained when I’m moving fast on set. Camera-wise, my main video body is still the Canon C70 (I’m literally shooting on it), because I love the feel in-hand, the Canon color, dynamic range, internal NDs, and how “filmic” it looks—even if it’s not the sharpest camera ever. For hybrid photo + video, I’ve been having a great time with the Canon R5 C: beautiful image, 45MP photos, and 8K when I need it, but I’m also real about the downsides (battery life and stabilization). Lens-wise, my workhorse is the Sigma 24–70mm f/2.8 because it’s versatile, sharp, and fast enough for client work; and when I’m shooting lingerie/swimwear or I want that compression, I’ll grab the Canon RF 70–200 f/4 if I’ve got space and enough light. I also talk audio (why I moved from DJI Mic to the RØDE Wireless PRO for 32-bit float), tethering/editing on my M1 MacBook Pro, and why I always keep an SSD on me—because on real sets, offloads get missed and drives get messy. And I share one of my favorite “bonus” moves: bringing a film camera to create a unique look that can help you upsell prints and add value for clients.
