Right now I’m in full “busy month” mode—getting work done while my kid naps, coming off the walking pad, and trying to balance everything. I work full-time at a corporate production company, I’m a dad, and I’m also handling client work (including wedding stuff). So this vlog is really a day-in-the-life in Los Angeles where you see how I squeeze in creative prep when life is moving fast. I also share a couple film camera pickups and my honest thoughts on them. I grabbed a Canon QL17 rangefinder because the design is gorgeous and it feels great in-hand, but I’m realizing rangefinders might not be for me—especially wearing glasses. I’m struggling to see the patch and actually nail focus, so if you’ve had the same issue, you’ll definitely relate. Then we get into fashion shoot prep and the actual behind-the-scenes of an outdoor shoot in LA. I’m pulling references together, planning the vibe, and heading out to test more film—medium format and 35mm—plus some new Kodak Color 200. The BTS portion is all about real-world shooting: directing the model, moving fast, and chasing good light when the weather’s been hit or miss.
