2026 is a reset. In this video, I’m sharing my New Year reflections—focusing on health, family, presence, and creating more meaningful work. I talk about what I want to improve, what I’m letting go of, and why this year is about momentum over perfection. I also break down my latest film camera pickups and take them into the real world—shooting on the fly with Kodak Portra 400, Portra 800, and Instax to see how different formats tell the same story. This is life, creativity, and film—as it’s happening. -- SPONSOR LA Love Creative. For sponsorship opportunities. Contact ► LALoveCreative@gmail.com We love working with companies. About This Video

2026 is a reset for me, and this monthly vlog is basically a “day in the life” check-in on what I’m actually trying to change. I talk through my goals—getting in shape (I’m already 20 pounds down), having better mental clarity and energy, and being more disciplined with my health. I’m also trying to drink less. On the creative side, I want more passion projects. I shoot corporate, weddings, and client work, but I’ve got way too much gear collecting dust, and I want to put my heart back into projects that genuinely excite me. I also get into being more present—documenting my family and the small moments, not just the big stuff. That means bringing a camera on trips and shooting for home movies, not only for the channel. And yes, I’m also trying to get control of my finances and spend less on gear… while still showing you my latest film camera pickups: the Contax G1 (gorgeous gold matte, sharp 28mm), my always-in-the-bag Konica Big Mini point-and-shoot, and the Lomo’Instant Wide Glass for fun Instax shoots. To put it all into practice, I shoot with a model (Vienna) with a simple mindset: no overthinking, no perfect conditions—just shoot on the fly. I ran into an issue with my Mamiya 645, so I leaned on the Nikon F4 with a 50mm and the Contax G1, plus my Canon R5C as a digital backup. This whole film journey is helping me reconnect with photography and stop forcing my digital images to “look like film.”
