Outdoor Photography Tips and Tricks. When you’re shooting outside photography can be different. Capturing photos in an outdoor location means you have to let go of some of the control you have regarding lighting. A lot of times as a photographer, you won’t be able to choose what time of day you will be shooting. Yes, you can modify your outside lighting with diffusions and silks. However, when you are shooting solo, this is hard to do. So it’s good to have a backup plan when shooting outside during certain times of the day. You can’t always shoot magic hour so you have to figure out the best way to take photos in hard lighting to avoid harsh-looking photos.
