In this video I’m taking one of my favorite cameras I’ve ever owned—the Fujifilm X-E3—and putting it where it really belongs: out in the streets. I’ve already talked about the X-E3 in a studio setting, but honestly, this camera shines as a street/travel/everyday “dad camera” you can just throw in a bag and take with you. I shot a fashion run-and-gun session in LA with a model named Hannah, bouncing between locations and looks to see how the camera handles real-world pace, changing light, and quick moments. I break down why I love the X-E3’s low-profile, compact, “almost tourist-looking” vibe—people don’t really pay attention to you, which is perfect for candid street style portraits. I shot with two lenses only: the Fuji 23mm and 35mm (roughly 35mm and 50mm equivalents). I also talk about Fuji film simulations and how I like shooting Astia and Classic Chrome, plus a huge tip: if you shoot RAW, you can still access Fuji camera matching profiles inside Lightroom without baking the look into a JPEG. I keep it real about the downsides too: video is not this camera’s strength. There’s no stabilization, AF in video isn’t great, and the dynamic range isn’t something you want to push hard in post—so nail exposure. For the price (I paid under $500), the X-E3 is still a powerhouse, especially if you want Fuji vibes but can’t get an X100V.
