About This Video

In this video I’m taking you behind the scenes of my vintage-inspired “Sunday Vibes” fashion shoot with an amazing model, Tatiana. The whole goal was relaxed, feminine lounge energy—dreamy, nostalgic, and a little moody—shot in a minimal, freshly renovated house that had that older-home character. I walk you through my thought process for each setup, how I composed the frames, and how I used light (and atmosphere) to build a cohesive story instead of just grabbing random portraits. Gear-wise, I shot on my trusty Canon R5C with my new Canon RF 28-70mm f/2.8, and I’m loving that lens. For lighting I used the Forza 500 as my “daylight push” through windows, plus an Amaran 300C (sometimes with a spotlight adapter) to create warmer, more directed shaping on Tatiana. I also used haze-in-a-can to add softness and depth, which really helps the light feel cinematic. I break down four looks: tape player on the floor with a single strong window push, a stylized bathtub scene with a warm spotlight vibe, a pink vintage lingerie set with a softer dreamy window look (and what I’d improve next time), and a final lifestyle moment using only natural backlight with a white fence acting like a giant bounce. If you’re a fashion photographer or hybrid shooter, this is all about building mood with simple, real-world tools.
