I most often use very fine line width 01 fineliners or 0.20 tip size technical pens. R&K SketchInk is lightfast, waterproof and comes in many colors: https://www.jacksonsart.com/en-us/rohrer-klinger-sketchink-50ml?___store=jacksonsart_us&acc=c0f168ce8900fa56e57789e2a2f2c9d0 White highlights: I use white gouache and a 3/0 princeton heritage round detail brush. I no longer recommend gel pens (blobs, skips, fixed line width). Any pro grade PW6 Titanium White gouache can be mixed with watercolor to tint your highlights. M Graham has a lovely white gouache that does not crack in the dry pan as badly as other brands, but Schmincke Horadam's pro gouache is a close second with superb quality. About This Video

In this video I take a quick look at A Gallo handmade watercolors from Italy, even though I’m not feeling up to doing my usual voice-over (huge thank you to indigosgaming for stepping in). I unbox the paints, talk through the swatch cards, and then do swatches and a little paint demo so you can see how these colors actually behave on paper—not just how they look in a pan. My focus is on the fun stuff: rare pigments, unique convenience mixtures, and which colors immediately stand out as favorites. I also share the practical side of how I test: I’m usually on Arches Cold Press, and I like having a porcelain palette with lots of small wells so I can really compare mixes and see what’s happening with granulation and dilution. If A Gallo pricing is a stretch for building a big single-pan collection, I point you to Roman Szmal as a less costly alternative with a ton of pigment options (especially if you love granulators). And since audio is a little different right now due to my health, I link my public Patreon poll so you can vote on whether you prefer guest voice-over, music, subtitles, or something else going forward.
