Hey y’all—this was my first sit-down video of 2026, and I had to circle back and give y’all my love, hate, and meh list for the new(ish) products I tried in 2025. This wasn’t a hype video or first-impressions chaos. I’m talking formulation, performance on my type 4 hair, value for your coin, and whether something actually makes sense in a real routine. And yes…some of these drops were good, some were just workable, and a few were a hard “it’s a no for me, dog.” I ran through everything from Camille Rose’s Guava Slip collection (good but not mind-blowing on slip), to Olaplex staples I’m keeping in rotation (that No.5 leave-in is chef’s kiss, and the Rich Hydration Mask is THICK thick). I also talked scalp care reality—my flakes come back in 2–3 days no matter what, so a lot of scalp treatments stay in “meh” until proven otherwise. Then we got into luxe-but-overpriced Dyson Omega products, Pattern body care (that dry exfoliating scrub? BABY soft), K18’s volume spray for wash-and-go bounce, Adwoa Beauty’s Melonberry expansion (the exfoliating shampoo is a staple), and The Doux drops—where Block Party gel really impressed me, but Honey Dip and 808 Base Gel were not it for my hair.
