Happy Sunday—and happy 6th birthday to my YouTube channel. In this live, I popped in for a quick little kiki to celebrate six years of HeyKnottyGirl, light my candle, and eat my “nothing but cake” like I earned it. I talked about how wild it is that I started this channel just because I like doing my hair and talking to myself, and now we’re here with a real community that keeps me encouraged even when life be life-ing (and yes, when I miss a day and post the next day like nothing happened). Of course, I tried not to make it all about hair… and still ended up talking hair. I shared what I’m prepping to film next, teased new product drops I’m watching (including Pattern’s new foam leave-in situation), and reminded y’all I love a good straightening moment—but I’m intentional about keeping my hair healthy, especially with color. I also gave a little life update (axe throwing was harder than it looks), vented about my apartment still not fixing my AC/heat, and ended with my wish: hitting 10K subscribers by my 7th channel birthday.
