In this video I’m sharing what’s in my purse for 2024—aka the daily essentials I actually carry, and the simple system that keeps my bag from turning into a chaotic black hole. My purse is thrifted (like pretty much every purse I own), and I keep a hand sanitizer clipped right on the front for easy access because I’m a huge germaphobe and I sanitize anytime I touch public surfaces. The biggest change for me was switching to a pouch system. I use separate pouches to categorize everything so I can find what I need quickly: a “regular use” pouch (cat meds on-the-go, paper soap in a tiny tin, backup lip balm, and a tiny USB), an “emergency supplies” pouch (my absolute favorite Bug Bite Thing, electrolytes + vitamin C, pain relief, a mini sewing kit, and a USB-C dongle), and a snack pouch (Tic Tacs, gum, and ginger chews for nausea—honestly it might be placebo, but it works for me). My main takeaway: if your purse is a mess, pouches make it instantly more cozy-minimal and functional—everything has a home, and you’re not digging around when you’re already stressed.
