About This Video

In this very late Fall 2025 planner update, I’m flipping through what I thought my system would be… and what it actually turned into. I start with my long-time traveler's notebook setup (a vegan leather cover I’ve had for about six years) and my Sterling Ink monthly insert on thin 52 GSM Tomoe River paper. Monthlies are still the one thing that consistently works for me—bills, appointments, cat meds (including Revolution and reorder days), paydays, seasonal dates, and anything life-related that I need to see at a glance. I also share a few trackers and lists (savings, video goals/ideas, wishlist, shop print ideas, and a books-read visual spread), plus some thoughts on why certain spreads (like quarterly pages and detailed habit tracking) just never stick for me. Then I walk through the inserts that didn’t quite make it: a “catch-all” grid notebook that turned into creative dailies, and a health insert I originally loved for the color dot system—but ultimately realized I was duplicating info I already track on my phone or in my journal. Lately, I’ve been reaching for my Leuchtturm1917 pocket bullet journal for simple daily logging, and I moved my work metrics into a tiny M5 mini rings planner so it doesn’t depend on whether I’m daily logging. Basically: I’m not forcing planner peace—I’m following what feels fun, simple, and actually useful right now.
