About This Video

In this mid-year techo kaigi, I’m sharing a real, honest update on what’s actually working in my 2024 planning system—and what I’ve quietly dropped as the year went on. My main planner is the Sterling Ink Traveler’s Notebook size compact planner (vertical), and I walk through how I use each section: simple monthly calendar pages, a monthly priority task list, and (most importantly) weekly spreads that function as a color-coded to-do list. I also talk about my “on and off” planning phases (June was basically a no-planning month for me), and how I’m leaning into making the system supportive instead of forcing daily trackers that just aren’t my thing. I also share some cozy little shifts that have made planning feel fun again—like finally using the “too pretty” stickers I used to hoard, experimenting with writing in print instead of cursive for readability, and keeping a notes section as an everything-brain-dump space. Beyond my main planner, I touch on my finance notebook (a budgeting brain dump I genuinely love), a mini bullet journal I barely needed this year, and how I revived an old A6 Hobonichi Techo as a reading companion notebook for quotes, thoughts, and vocabulary. Finally, I share early thoughts for 2025: I know I want Sterling Ink again, but I’m still deciding on the best size and balance of monthly + weekly pages.
