About This Video

Hi everyone—welcome to my new apartment. In this video I’m giving you an empty apartment tour of the place I just moved into in the PNW, and sharing what $1700 in rent looks like for a two bed, two bath lease takeover. When you walk in, I show the entryway closet (it’s a pretty nice size and even extends inward), where I’m thinking about adding my console table later, plus a little corner that’ll probably become my cleaning-supplies spot. I also point out a couple of things I immediately loved—like the high ceilings and the fact that the flooring is a laminate that should be easy to clean (I fully misremembered it as gray, so we’ll see how my furniture ends up looking once everything is moved in). From there I walk you through the laundry closet with a washer/dryer, extra storage, and a rod for hanging things. Then we get into the kitchen, which I’m genuinely excited about because I *think* it’s quartz—and I haven’t had a smooth quartz/granite countertop since my very first studio in 2015. After dealing with kitchens I hated (especially tiny tile + grout), this feels like such a win. We wrap up with my bedroom, closet, and the thing I’m most excited about: my very own bathroom again—finally.
