About This Video

In this video, I’m flipping through my pocket bullet journal (aka my mini bujo) and sharing exactly how I’ve been using it over the last couple of years. I started this notebook back in 2022, and I’m still working in it in 2024—so if you’ve ever felt pressure to “finish” a journal in a year, this is your gentle reminder that you don’t have to. For me, this little notebook works as a supplement to my main planner: I reach for it when my regular weekly planning isn’t cutting it, or when I need a compact place for lists, notes, and reference pages. You’ll see how my style changed a lot in 2023 when I got more intentional—less experimenting, more practical spreads I can actually reference. I share pages like pre-travel checklists, bucket lists, shop/product lists, brain dumps, and my most-referenced spread: a road trip packing checklist specifically for traveling with my cats. I also talk about the little details I keep with it (stickers in the back pocket, and a pen test page at the end). After the flip through, I walk you through my super simple washi tape pen loop tutorial. It’s customizable for any pen/notebook combo, takes about five minutes, and it’s surprisingly secure—plus you can always redo it if it loosens over time.
