This is a quick follow-up to my FlyDigi Vader 5S review because one of my biggest complaints was simple: I didn’t have software to do basic stuff like kill that RGB strip shining in my face, and I was stuck at 250Hz even on PC. Good news—there is now an official app for the Vader 5S, and it’s called FlyDigi Space Station for Xbox (dev installer). It was sent to me directly from my FlyDigi rep, it has zero reviews, and it installs through the Microsoft Store like a normal app. In the app, I can jump between the four on-board profiles, rename them, remap buttons, mess with stick curves, deadzones, trigger/rumble strength, and finally dim or disable lighting. The UI is a little laggy and the naming is confusing because there are multiple “FlyDigi Space” apps floating around, but it does work for core customization. The one thing that didn’t work for me (yet) is the polling rate change: I can select 500Hz, but in my testing it still reads like 250Hz / ~4ms. Still, the app exists now, and if you’re on Xbox and considering the Vader 5S, this is an important update.
