In this video I put the Flydigi Direwolf 3 and Direwolf 4 under the microscope and answer the real question: is it “Vader nice,” or is it just another confusing mid-tier model in Flydigi’s lineup. I break down what actually changed from 3 to 4—adjustable thumbstick tension (Forceflex), the new D-pad feel, different rear buttons, and the big one: trigger locks that turn the linear Hall triggers into a legit mouse-click style hair trigger. I also go over the unboxing, what you get in the box (short cable, Flysync dongle, no dust covers), and how these controllers feel part-by-part, component-by-component. Performance-wise, I test input delay and confirm the wired polling rate claim: 1,000 Hz with super consistent results, and the Flysync dongle is also fast—basically wired-like. But I’m not going to sugarcoat the connectivity quirks: Bluetooth was inconsistent and, at times, downright janky with vibrations and misinputs, and I had issues getting certain modes/adapters to behave. My verdict is simple: there’s basically no reason to buy the Direwolf 3, the Direwolf 4 is the better pick at ~$40, but if you want the best overall experience in the Flydigi family, I still recommend going Vader over Direwolf.
