For years to come, if you’re making a third-person extraction shooter, you’re basically going to be suckling on Embark Studios’ creative satchel—because Arc Raiders nails a ton of the stuff that matters. In this video I’m breaking down my 200+ hour experience across PS5 and PC: audio (best-in-class directional and environmental sound), story delivery (it’s there, but it didn’t hook me), and why the maps/art design are some of the prettiest in the genre.
