About This Video

So, as always, I dive into DaVinci Resolve and show you exactly how I make that clean “slow rise” text animation using Text+ and Fusion. I start by dropping a Text+ node from Effects, then heading into Fusion to type my title (I used “slow rise”), pick a font (Enter Black in my case), and then right‑click to add a Follower. The main move here is keyframing the Follower’s Transform > Offset—one keyframe at frame 0, another around frame 18—then nudging the first keyframe down so the characters rise into place. After that, I smooth everything out in the Spline editor by selecting Displacement, Ctrl+A, and applying Ease Out Cubic to get that nice, polished curve. I also animate opacity inside Shading so the text fades in as it rises (again, Spline > Ease Out Cubic). To finish it off, I add a Drop Shadow (Shift+Space, Drop Shadow) and tweak it to taste, then show how you can save the whole thing into your Power Bins so the animation is ready for every project—travel films, reels, client edits, whatever you’re cutting.
