About This Video

In this video I’m showing you how I build an advanced motion graphics look in DaVinci Resolve using Fusion—specifically a premium “liquid glass” UI style that can instantly level up client work. This one was inspired by Zay Hoyer (he’s amazing—do check him out), but I’ve tweaked and finished the effect in my own way. We start from scratch with a Fusion Composition, create a clean blue four-corner background, then design and animate a smooth graph line using a Polygon mask, border width, soft edge, and proper easing in the Spline editor. After that, I go deep into the liquid glass setup using a Displace node (not Displace3D), a Rectangle mask, and a Blur in-between so whatever sits behind the glass gets that soft premium separation. Then I add a gradient highlight on top of the glass, keep it masked inside the shape, and animate it with a Waviness node so the gradient feels alive. Finally, I build text animations using Follower (characters/words), offset timing, opacity keyframes, and ease-out cubic—plus a slider line and a moving glass knob. To really spice it up, I enable Motion Blur on every keyframed node so the whole thing feels polished.
