About This Video

In this video I jump into DaVinci Resolve and show you how I build that smooth, seamless Apple-like motion graphics look using Fusion—beginner friendly, but super powerful once you understand the node flow. I start by adding a Fusion Composition, then inside Fusion I create a clean background, add a Text+ node, and switch the font to SF Pro (the Apple font). From there I use Shading to get a gradient look, and I also show how I keep part of the text solid by using Character Level Styling—so only the word I want gets the gradient. After the design part, I focus on what actually makes it feel “premium”: timing and easing. I animate word-by-word using Follower Delay (switching from characters to words), then I smooth everything in the Spline editor with easing (Out Cubic and custom ease in/out values). I also keyframe opacity inside the Follower shading so the reveal feels clean instead of harsh. Then I layer in the next word with a second Text node, control visibility using a simple merge keyframe technique in the Keyframes panel, and finally bring in the DaVinci Resolve icon with matching transform animation. Last step—and this is the secret sauce—I enable Motion Blur on every animated node. That little setting is what makes the whole thing feel seamless and not “computer-y.” Practice the node structure, remember the merge timing trick, and you can build as many variations as you want.
