About This Video

In this video, I jump into DaVinci Resolve and show you how to create a clean, sci‑fi cinematic title in minutes using Fusion—no complicated setup. I start from scratch by dragging in a Fusion Composition, then in Fusion I add a Text+ node, type my title (I used “Eclipse”), and switch to a cinematic font. From there, I use a Merge node instead of connecting straight to MediaOut, so you can stack more effects later without breaking your flow. The core look comes from two simple animations: I keyframe the text tracking (wide spacing that tightens in) and smooth it out inside the Spline editor using easing controls. Then I add Fast Noise into the text to give it a subtle moving texture, and finish it off with a Glow node—keyframing the X glow size so it starts punchy and settles down as the title locks in. Once it’s done, you just drop that Fusion Composition above any clip and you’ve got an epic cinematic intro ready for your travel films, reels, or tech edits.
