🎬 Want to get the most out of your DJI Action 5 Pro? Whether you're new to vlogging or looking to refine your skills, these 5 practical tips will help you shoot better, more professional-looking content with this powerful little camera. In this video, I’ll walk you through five essential tips that will instantly improve the quality of your vlogs and give your footage that polished, cinematic feel: 📸 1. Capture a Variety of Angles Don’t rely on just one shot! Mixing wide, medium, and close-up angles adds visual interest and keeps your viewers engaged. 🎞️ 2. Use Different Frame Rates Switching between 24fps, 30fps, and 60fps can help you create different moods and give you more creative control — whether you're filming action, slow motion, or talking heads. 🎙️ 3. Mix Up Your Talking Head Setup Break the monotony by changing your background, angles, or camera placement. This small change keeps your content visually fresh and engaging. 🎧 4. Use an External Mic for Better Audio Clear audio is just as important as good video. I’ll show you why using an external mic makes a huge difference — especially when you’re filming on the go. 🎨 5. Film in D-Log for Maximum Dynamic Range Unlock the full potential of your DJI Action 5 Pro by filming in D-Log (flat color profile). This gives you more flexibility in post-production to color grade and retain detail in both shadows and highlights. Whether you're creating travel vlogs, lifestyle content, or daily videos, these tips will help you take full advantage of your gear and tell better visual stories. 🎬 Purchase my DJI Osmo Pocket 3 LUT Pack here: https://ko-fi.com/s/38043ec2d2 Contact: Email: colebielecki@gmail.com Links to my favorite accessories for the DJI Osmo Pocket 3. About This Video

What’s going on, guys? In this video I’m out in Los Angeles at USC with the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro, and I’m breaking down five practical tips that will instantly make your vlogs look more professional. I’ve been super impressed with the footage I’ve been able to capture on this little camera, and honestly, it’s become one of my favorite ways to vlog when I want something simple but still cinematic. First, I talk about switching up your angles—this camera is made to be mounted, so use a mini tripod for handheld vlogging, then throw it on a longer monopod to grab those higher “drone-like” walking shots. Next, I’m big on using different frame rates: I’ll shoot 24 or 30fps for talking, then jump to 60 or even 100fps for B-roll because the slow motion adds a whole new dynamic. I also show how I like to mix up my talking head setup by walking-and-talking, then stopping and setting the camera down for a more conversational feel. From there, I recommend RockSteady stabilization and Standard mode because it feels less “action cam” and more like a normal focal length. And finally, I explain why great audio matters (DJI Mic 2/Mic Mini connect seamlessly) and why I shoot D-Log—easy to grade, tons of dynamic range, and I like keeping the DJI LUT around 50% so it doesn’t get too contrasty or oversaturated.
