About This Video

I’m at the iconic TWA Hotel at JFK in New York City, and this place is seriously like stepping straight back into the Jet Age. This used to be the old TWA terminal, and they converted it into a hotel while keeping that 1960s spirit alive—red and white everywhere, beautiful curves (literally no straight lines), and a working Solari board that’s constantly flipping through old-school airline logos. I walk you through first impressions, check-in (it’s a firm 4pm, but they’ll hold your luggage), and all the public spaces that make this hotel a legit destination even if you’re just on a layover. I also explore the museum-style exhibits with vintage uniforms, posters, and luggage, plus some awesome photo spots like the twister room and the 1960s-themed living room. Then I get into the room tour—spacious, clean, mid-century modern decor, and my favorite part: the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the lobby. I also show you the iconic hallways featured in Catch Me If You Can, Howard Hughes’ office, and the absolute highlight outside: the old TWA airplane turned into a cocktail bar. If you’ve got time at JFK, I highly recommend walking over and checking it out.
