In this video I’m sharing why I switched back to keto and what my real end goal is: transitioning into carnivore. After about six months of being in survival mode with a hardcore job, I finally have the bandwidth to focus on my health again. I give you a weight loss update (I’m 174 today at 5’2 1/2), where I started on semaglutide (193), and how I even stayed mostly stable despite my active binge eating disorder. I’m very transparent about that struggle because I know I’m not the only one. I also explain why I’m not jumping straight into carnivore from a more plant-heavy way of eating. From what I’ve learned, your gut microbiome adjusts based on what you feed it, and going from high-carb/plant-heavy to meat/eggs/butter/dairy can cause GI issues. Keto is my “bridge” for the next 2–6 weeks—still low-carb, but with some low-glycemic veggies like zucchini, green beans, leafy greens, onions, and mushrooms. I also talk about why WW didn’t work for me (too much brain power) and why I love the automaticity of keto/carnivore.
