About This Video

Hey, Phil from 3DPUK Tech Channel. In this video I’m testing the SUNLU AMS Heater attachment that replaces the lid on the original Bambu Lab AMS, giving you heated/drying capability without having to splash out on an AMS Pro. I unbox the beta unit I was sent, show you exactly what you get in the box, and then run through the install step-by-step. It’s genuinely simple—two screws either side, swap the lid, and you’re basically done in about 5–10 minutes. I also go over the design and features: the self-sealing rubber gasket, the adjustable top vent/evaporation port, the twin blowers (they run together, not per-slot), and the touchscreen controls for set temp/time. I check temperature accuracy with my own gauge (screen vs real-world readings were pretty close), and I talk about airflow—there’s a vortex effect, though I noticed it can feel a bit more concentrated toward slots 1 and 4. Finally, I run a quick print using filament that’s been sat open in the UK humidity, and it came out relatively well. My main limitation is you can’t heat individual channels, so you’re heating the whole AMS even if you only need one spool—but overall it’s a great little upgrade if you’ve already got the OG AMS.
