KraftGeek sent over their JustTap tap-to-open tripod and I wanted to show you exactly why it’s going to be part of my setup for all my future recording. The big win here is the compact design: it’s the kind of tripod you can actually chuck in a backpack and take to events, live streams, or anywhere you don’t want to take up loads of space. And honestly, tripods are one of those things content creators overlook until it starts holding your videos back. In the box you get the instructions, a USB-C charger, and a detachable magnetic Bluetooth controller. That controller is brilliant if you’re recording from a distance—press the button and you’re rolling, no running back and forth to hit record. The tripod itself is a simple push-to-open design (no unscrewing or fiddling about), extends to nearly 6ft (potentially even 7ft), and the phone clamp has rubber protection front and back. You also get tilt both ways, which makes overhead shots and awkward angles easy—exactly what I’ve been missing with my current tripod.
