About This Video

In this video I’m taking a proper hands-on look at the EIBOS Series X Tetras — the heated “lid” upgrade that turns a Bambu Lab AMS into a true drying and storage system. I run through the unboxing, what you get in the box, and then the full install on my first-gen AMS. The big win here is you don’t need to buy extra adapters or mess about sourcing parts — everything you need is included, clearly labelled, and the manual is actually detailed enough to follow (there wasn’t an official install video when I filmed this). Once it’s built, you’ve effectively got four individually heated chambers (20–65°C) with humidity display and drying times from 30 minutes up to 24 hours. Each bay has its own screen and controls, so you can dry one spool without running all four — which is handy for power draw and just not wasting energy. I show how the cable routing and acrylic baffles/spacers create sealed sections so the heat doesn’t mess with the AMS gears, and I also cover the UI: presets for PLA/PETG/TPU/ABS, fan speeds, target humidity shutoff, memory saves, and a second-stage drying mode. Final thoughts: it’s a standout upgrade for anyone who’s fed up with drying spools one-by-one before using the AMS.
