About This Video

In this video I fit the BIGTREETECH/BIQU Panda Lux LED upgrade kit to my Bambu Lab X1 Carbon, because let’s be honest, the stock internal light just isn’t that great. I walk you through the quick install: remove the AMS and lid for access, pop off the control panel cover (it’s a bit fiddly), and then plug the Panda Lux board inline so you keep the original light and add the new bar at the top. The new light is magnetic, and I show you the best orientation—make sure the cable runs toward the screen side so it actually reaches the control board. I also cover the practical bits people get caught out on: the original light cable may be hot-glued in, the small connectors feel fragile so don’t force them, and you need to route everything so the door shuts without pinching wires. I use the supplied sticky tab to tidy the board inside, and I wrap the included protective tape around the exposed wire area to help protect it—especially if you’re printing hotter/exotic filaments. End result: both lights are linked together from the screen (on/off together), and it’s a genuinely easy 5-minute job that makes a big difference for timelapses, recording, and just keeping an eye on prints.
