In this video I get hands-on with the ChiTu Systems (G2 Systems) FilaPartner E1 filament dryer, and I run through a quick unboxing, setup, and the features that make it different to the usual “heater box” dryers I’ve shown on the channel. The big selling point here is the stackable modular box system: you get two boxes in the kit, each box holds two 1kg spools, and you can buy more boxes to expand it. I also like that the modular boxes can be switched between drying mode and sealed storage mode using the magnetic/metal baffles, plus you’ve got humidity indicator strips and grommets for PTFE tube routing. I go through the 3.5" resistive touchscreen UI, the dual independent bays (front and rear), and the safety cut-off that stops heating if you lift/remove a box or open the lid. I also do a temperature verification with my own reader at a 45°C setpoint and I’m seeing readings in the ballpark of the target (roughly mid-40s), which is what I want to see. In my testing the humidity dropped right down (I saw 17%), so it’s clearly doing its job. My main gripe is the touchscreen being a bit clucky/clicky and sometimes needing multiple touches, and I found the “preset/apply” recommendations felt more like a guide than a true one-tap apply. Overall though, the build quality, stackability, and the safety features are what stood out for me.
