About This Video

In this video, I unbox and test the Greenworks 48V (24V x 2) 17-inch brushless cordless push lawn mower to see how powerful it really is in real grass. I show you everything that comes in the box, including the two 4.0Ah 24V batteries and the dual-port rapid charger (you can charge two batteries at the same time). I also point out a few things right away—like the charger is pretty huge, and the blade is already attached, so you want to be careful because it’s sharp. After the unboxing, I walk you through the setup step-by-step: handlebar assembly, latching direction, and how the height adjustment works with that single button (I like that it’s just one button to go up and down). I also show the mulching option, so if you don’t want to use the bag, you can run it in mulching mode. Then I go over how to start it—press and hold the power button and pull the bail (the instructions say it a little differently, but this is what actually worked for me). Once the batteries are charged (for me it took around 2 hours), I drop them in, close the spring-loaded compartment, and do a lawn cutting test at height number six on taller grass. I also tested the battery’s USB port as a power bank, which is a nice extra if you want to charge something small in a pinch.
