About This Video

In this video, I bought a new dining table and took you through the full unboxing and assembly like I always do—no skipping the messy parts. I open the boxes, lay everything out, and start by setting up the chairs first. I also walk through the hardware list straight from the paper: the 16x80 Allen bolts (4), the 16x30 bolts, and the 16x50 bolts (4), and I point out that each one comes with its own lock washer and flat washer so you don’t mix anything up. From there, I show where each bolt actually goes—three of the shorter ones into the three holes, the longer one into the separate spot, and the 16x50 bolts into the leg sections. Once the four pillars are up, there’s a plate that goes on top, and I end up opening the heavier box to pull out the main board/tabletop. It’s a simple build when you follow the order and match the bolt sizes correctly, and the final result is that “wow” moment when everything comes together and looks solid in the space.
