About This Video

In this video I put the SIRUI 75mm F1.2 up against the Viltrox 75mm F1.2 on the Nikon Zf and run them through the same real-world image-quality tests. I start with the money talk because it matters: the Viltrox sits around $580, while the SIRUI is about $319 on sale (originally $399). So the whole point is simple—do you actually get enough extra performance to justify paying $180–$260 more for the Viltrox? From there I break down the specs and the build/features. The Viltrox is full metal with an aperture ring (de-clickable), AF/MF switch, shortcut button, weather resistance, and a bigger hood. The SIRUI I tested is the carbon fiber version—lighter, simpler, and basically no extra controls. Then I get into vignetting, distortion/focus breathing, flare, chromatic aberration, bokeh balls, bokeh blur at multiple distances, and sharpness (center and lower frame). My big takeaway: F2 is the sweet spot for both lenses—flare/CA issues calm down and sharpness evens out. At F1.2 the Viltrox is a touch sharper in parts of the frame, but it also flares more and really needs that hood, while the SIRUI is a strong performer for the price and runs a slightly brighter/warmer look overall.
