About This Video

In this video I’m putting two Godox Litemons COBs head-to-head: the LA200D (daylight) versus the LE300Bi (bi-color). Quick disclaimer—this channel used to be all Amaran, then I reviewed the LA200D vs Amaran and Godox basically beat them in every category… and then both brands kind of disappeared on me for years. So when Godox hit me up again, I said “sure” (with a question mark) and ran my usual long tests. I break down build quality (the LE300Bi is basically metal everywhere and feels like something that would’ve cost $1,000 years ago), usability, and what you actually get in the box (funny enough, the LA200D comes with more accessories). I also show the big difference in design: the LE300Bi has the power supply built into the head, so it’s one cable/one light, while the LA200D uses an external brick. Then I run real measurements: power draw at different dim levels, output readings, full bi-color spectrum readings (2800K to 6500K), fan noise after an hour at 100%, and heat over an hour. My takeaway: the LA200D is still a super solid, compact light I’ve used for 3 years, but if the LE300Bi is on sale near the same price, the output and bi-color flexibility make it a no-brainer—just be ready for the bigger, heavier head and shorter cable.
