We had a unanimous decision regarding this whisky! Watch on for the conclusion!

About This Video

In this video, I review Wolfburn single malt Scotch whisky and keep it simple: three tasting methods, one bottle, and an honest reaction. First thing I noticed was the colour—nice orange, but still pretty light-looking. And yes, we even had a bit of a “real life” moment because the bottle basically fell apart when we opened it. If that happens to you, don’t panic—just use a basic wine opener (the waiter’s friend) and pull it like a normal wine bottle. For the tasting, I go neat first, then with a splash of water, and finally on the rocks. Neat, I got that burn right away, and the peat was more in-your-face than I usually go for (I’m still not sure I’m a peaty whisky fan, so I don’t know why I bought this). Adding water helped a lot—the burn dropped, and it came across as less peaty and easier to drink. On the rocks, it felt lighter overall, but the dry, oaky character showed up more, almost like a texture sitting at the back of the mouth. End result: we actually enjoyed it across all three methods, with water being the clear favourite.
