About This Video

Hey there, bar is open. In this video I put two Hendrick’s “Cabinet of Curiosities” gins head-to-head: Hendrick’s Flora Adora vs Hendrick’s Grand Cabaret. I already enjoyed the Grand Cabaret in a previous review, so this time I’m revisiting Flora Adora (which I reviewed quite some time back) and doing a direct comparison on scent, texture, and taste. Price-wise in Singapore, it’s interesting: Flora Adora is the older release but it’s sitting around S$100 now, while Grand Cabaret is about S$95. Both are 700ml at 43.4% ABV, and the bottles are basically identical to each other (and even the standard Hendrick’s style). I taste them two ways: neat and on the rocks (no shaker today—one shaker only, and honestly I’m lazy and thirsty). Neat, Flora Adora comes across like rose syrup—if you know bandung, it’s that rose vibe but without the milk—light, gentle, and perfumey in a nice way. Grand Cabaret is totally different: strong fruity “grape” notes, like the old grape-flavoured Sugus sweets. On ice, both get a bit more “gin” showing through, and Grand Cabaret’s sweetness drops. My takeaway: Flora Adora gets more layered on the rocks for me, while Grand Cabaret I’d rather drink neat if you want that big fruity punch. Pick and choose your poison—honestly, both are very, very good.
