IT'S FINALLY HERE! I got a pretty exclusive hands on with the camera in Canon Malaysia for an hour. Unfortunately, I wasn't allowed to bring out to shoot test photos and videos but I still wanted to make a video for everyone, specifically going in depth into the menus and features of the camera. Pretty sure a lot of the big youtubers would have a review video on launch so hopefully this helps supplement some info! It's a really long long video so feel free to skip ahead in the chapters below. Let me know if you have any questions about the camera and I'll try answering the the comments below. If this video does really well, hopefully Canon will let me try the camera for a longer time! About This Video

Oh my god guys, the EOS R3 is finally here—and I was lucky enough to get a pretty exclusive one-hour hands-on at Canon Malaysia. I couldn’t take it out to shoot (embargo life), so this isn’t a “sample image” review. Instead, I went deep on what I could actually test: the physical build, ergonomics, ports, buttons, and then a proper walkthrough of the menus and features that matter if you’re shooting real jobs. The first thing that hit me was how freaking light it is for a 1D-style body, and the grip texture is way grippier than my R5/EOS R (which I’ve always complained are too smooth). I also love that Canon finally brought back a proper photo/video switch—no more double-press mode/info nonsense. In the menus, I highlight the 24MP stacked BSI sensor, the new subject tracking options (people/animals/vehicles), and a super underrated feature: HF anti-flicker shooting that lets you fine-tune shutter speed in nasty flicker environments. I also break down Eye Control AF—how you calibrate it for different lighting and how it actually behaves in use (it’s not as gimmicky as it sounds). For video, we look at 4K options (including 4K120), RAW up to 60p, C-Log3, timecode, and a few disappointments like micro HDMI, fewer top buttons than my 1DX Mark III, and the CFexpress + SD slot combo.
