A few videos ago I said the Mega Charizard X UPC is the best product of 2025—IF you can get it at MSRP. But if you’re actually a Pokémon TCG player, the 2025 Trainer’s Toolkit is the best product of the year, and honestly it’s the best “for players” product every single year. In this video I crack open the Toolkit (after it got delayed and kind of lost in the sauce because of the Fantasmal Flames hype) and I walk through why it’s so good for deck building: staple Trainers, damage counters/status markers, sleeves, a deck-building guide, and the promos/ACE SPECs that matter in the new format. The big highlight is Fezandipiti ex with Flip the Script—one of the most powerful abilities in the game right now, and it’s in basically every deck. I also go over the ACE SPECs included (Grand Tree, Hyper Aroma, and Maximum Belt), and I’m real about it: Max Belt is the best of the three, and the other two are more situational. After that, I accept another @PokeZonRips 8-pack battle by pairing 4 packs from the Toolkit with 4 packs from a Mega Latias box, then I total up the pulls by market price (as of Nov 25). Spoiler: I took the L on pack value this time—but for players, the Toolkit still clears.
