About This Video

The NEW Mega Charizard tins are finally here, and in this video I crack open both the Mega Charizard X EX Tin and the Mega Charizard Y EX Tin to show you exactly what you’re getting. I go over the promos up close (and yeah… I’m still not a fan of that little slit/clipped packaging because it can whiten the card), then I break down the pack selection so you can decide if these are worth grabbing. Each tin comes with 4 packs, and in mine it was 1 Journey Together, 1 Mega Evolution, and 2 Fantasmal Flames—so you’re basically getting a solid mix without it being some exclusive pack lineup. From there it’s all about the pulls. I’m still chasing that Mega Venusaur SIR because I want the Bulbasaur/Ivysaur/Venusaur trio graded and displayed together, but I did hit some nice stuff: Mega Latias EX, Mega Heracross EX, a Full Art Sacred Charm, and the big one—Mega Lopunny EX SIR out of the last pack. Overall, I think these tins are pretty solid based on pack selection alone, and if you can find them at MSRP (around $20–$25), I’d say they’re a good pickup. Just don’t pay $45—at that point, buy the promos as singles.
