Today I’m ripping into what *might* be the best Pokémon product of 2025… with a big asterisk: the Mega Charizard X Ultra-Premium Collection is only “the best” if you can actually get it at MSRP (about $120). At the time I recorded this, it was sitting around $200 and I’ve seen it hit $229, $250, $279, and even almost $300 on scalper sites. The wild part is the promos alone are floating around $150 right now, so I wanted to see what you really get inside and if the value is there. I go through everything in the box: the Mega Charizard X playmat (super dope watercolor vibe with that hot pink/lime trim), the metallic coin, the sleeves, the Velcro deck box, and the damage counter dice (cool, but only up to 100). Then we get into the big question—pack value—opening all 18 boosters and checking the spread (Surging Sparks, Journey Together, Destined Rivals, Mega Evolution, and Fantasmal Flames). Spoiler: I got cooked on the packs—only five hits out of 18, with the Articuno illustration rare being the standout. My takeaway: at MSRP it’s solid, but don’t touch it at $200+… and definitely not at “scalper prices of infinity.”
