About This Video

Happy Halloween, everybody—this one’s all about tapping into the spooky vibes with Simplified Chinese Gem Pack Vol. 3. I rip two booster boxes on camera and chase the five exclusive three-star illustration cards you can only pull in this set: Gengar, Cubone, Chandelure, Meowth, and Ceruledge. Each pack is only four cards, everything’s holo, and the reverses can be Poké Ball, Master Ball, or Energy—plus you can hit stamped cards too. The quality is super clean since these are made in Japan, so they feel closer to Japanese cards even though the text is Simplified Chinese. I go over pull rates on the box, talk about how the Gem Pack series has been themed (Vol. 1 Horizons, Vol. 2 Eeveelutions, and now the Halloween set), and why you’ve gotta grab these while they’re in print—because once Simplified Chinese sets go out of print, that’s basically it. Hit-wise, we land a stack of EXs, a handful of stamps, and two three-star illustration rares (Mismagius and Greavard), plus a Gengar Master Ball that I had to sleeve just because it’s Gengar. No exclusive arts showed up for me this time, but it still felt like Trick-or-Trade with actual hits, so I’ll take it.
