We go through a few creators’ most complimented scents and I give my take on why they work. Santel Astral by Matiere Premiere gets a shout for being an exquisite sandalwood with iris, benzoin, and tonka—sandalwood + iris is just a cheat code. I also talk about how “clean, fresh, just-showered” profiles tend to pull compliments easily (especially on men), and how building a full “hygiene scent bubble” (hair, body wash, deodorant) can turn you into a walking compliment bomb. Then we get into an underrated compliment-getter: Montale Crazy in Love—rose, saffron, brown sugar—and I explain why rose-forward scents are often universally flattering, even if the brand can feel a bit nuclear or artificial sometimes.
