It’s a really easy-to-wear rose that feels sexy and opulent without becoming overly heavy. The opening has a zingy, tangy, peppery spice, and then it leans into a woody, incensey base. On my skin it even turns a bit tea-like in the dry down—almost like green tea or jasmine tea.

It’s raspberry and leather done perfectly, and I cannot hype it up enough. You get that tart, fruity top—almost pomegranate-tangy—and then a suede-like, luxurious leather in the base. I love that it has a light/dark contrast, and it’s one I’ll never not have in my collection.

Yes, and that’s exactly why I included it. It opens tropical to me with a big pineapple note, then shifts into a creamy white-floral heart with tuberose that can go a bit bubblegummy/banana-esque. The base is a clean-but-slightly-dirty musk, so it still works beautifully in autumn and winter when you want fresh but sophisticated.

Beau Du Provence from Fragonard is my pick here. It’s fig and sandalwood with some spicy incensey touches, and it leans more classic/old-school in a really sophisticated way. It’s an EDT so it won’t last forever, but it’s easy to overspray and I’ve already had compliments from it.

I chose Bhukara, even though honestly many from Ormonde Jayne could be signatures. It’s beautifully balanced with peach, black currant and citrus up top, then a white-floral-heavy heart that feels soft and buttery. The base is my favourite part: a clean-and-dirty musk that has oomph without becoming nauseating, and it “tricks you” because people can still smell it when you think it’s gone.

Why do you call La Bella Cibeles the love of your life fragrance?

Because it just does it for me every single time, and it’s one of those you truly can’t go wrong with. It’s citrus + white florals + vanilla—simple, not overly complex, but done in an out-of-this-world way with a powdery vanilla and sparkling citrus. I’ve had so many compliments, and so many of you have tried it and ended up making it your signature too.

Is Ylang in Gold by Micallef good for date night?

From my own experience, yes—it’s amazing for date nights. It’s sweet, vanilla, and luxurious with a coconuty, ice-creamy vibe, but it still feels mature because of the florals and fruity edges. I’ve finished multiple bottles, which tells you everything about how easy it is to wear and how special it feels.
