It’s a rose-based fragrance, but it’s not just a flat rose—it opens with pepper that gives it a slightly spicy vibe. In the base I get vanilla and ambroxan with a little incensey smokiness and vetiver. It feels opulent and sophisticated, but still somehow has a soft edge that makes it way more wearable day-to-day.

Is Tom Ford Neroli Portofino worth it?

I get why people side-eye the price, trust me—I understand you. But scent-wise, it’s one of the best citrus and white-floral heavy fragrances on the market: bright bitter citruses, big neroli, and that soft buttery white-floral feel. For us it’s also nostalgic because my partner used to wear it all the time, so it was a no-brainer as a birthday pickup (especially with a discount).

What is L’Ibasho by Maison De L’Asie like and how long does it last?

To me it’s a simple, comforting everyday scent: photorealistic warm rice (literally like rice pudding) mixed with a ripe but tart fruity touch and a powdery base. I initially thought the fruitiness was cherry, but the raspberry note makes total sense because I get that red-fruit vibe. Performance-wise it’s not beastly—on me it was about 3–5 hours max, and I go a bit anosmic to it, even though I’ve already been complimented on it.

What’s a good affordable fig fragrance Pika Scent recommends?

Fragonard Beau du Provence is such a good one if you want to smell classy without spending loads—I paid around £40 for 100ml. It’s ripe fig with a slightly green bitter edge, paired with a really beautiful sandalwood and a touch of spiciness that makes it feel richer. It’s an EDT, so projection isn’t amazing, but it’s still a super sophisticated wear.

How does Délices des Bois compare to Beau du Provence?

They’re both fig, but they wear totally differently on me. Beau du Provence feels spicier and woodier and leans more masculine/unisex, whereas Délices des Bois is sweeter and more feminine with vanilla and jasmine (plus woods like dreamwood/sandalwood). Délices des Bois just screams elegance and “signature scent worthy” energy.
