About This Video

In this video I break down the Auxbeam V-Ultra Series lights after real-world testing on my Colorado ZR2. I’m running every size they offer: 3-inch white pods as ditch lights, two 5-inch ambers on the bumper, and two 7-inch whites in the middle. I go over the features that matter—IP68 waterproof rating, a 2-year warranty, and the built-in daytime running light “X” pattern that I wired together so all six DRLs come on with one switch through my Auxbeam switch panel. Once it got dark, I put the lights through a simple, honest benchmark: low-beam headlights first, then I toggled each set on and off so you can see the difference in real time. The big takeaway is the beam pattern and spread—every V-Ultra size has side LEDs that kick light out left and right, so you don’t just get a hot spot straight ahead. The 5-inch ambers have a clean yellow that’s “just right,” and while amber technically puts out a little less than white, it’s better for cutting through dust and snow. The 7-inch whites are the big boys—bright enough to light up terrain way out in the distance—and when you run all six lights together, it’s a solid reminder you don’t need a whole roof rack of lights to light up the night, especially at this price point.
