Yeah—WHERE are the videos? In this one I’m basically doing a real check-in about why I’ve been on an unplanned YouTube break, because it’s been a while since I was making content regularly (and I feel like I say that too often). The honest answer is: life’s been busy, and I’ve been putting a ton of attention into my job—specifically teaching summer school math to grade 8 and 9 students who often don’t even want to be there and have a rough relationship with math. I made a decision that if these kids are showing up in their summer, the least I can do is make it engaging and actually effective—so I’ve been going hard on lesson planning, activities, puzzles, handouts, and better ways to explain concepts. The downside is that all that prep time is exactly the time I’d normally spend scripting, filming, and editing Warhammer content. I’m still finding time to unwind (painting, Commander, wife time, sports, friends), but YouTube got pushed to the back burner. Good news though: summer school ends Friday, and after a short vacation I’m planning to ramp back up. I want to finally get games in with the new GHB, play more Spearhead: Sand and Bone, and I even bought Tabletop Simulator so I can get more reps in—hit me up on Discord if you want a game (Pacific time zone is easiest). I’ve also been painting some 3D printed winged lancers as Cities of Sigmar Freeguild Cavaliers proxies, and I’m hoping to try Cities while they’re apparently “popped off” before points inevitably swing back.
