About This Video

In this episode of the Twintailed Podcast, I’m back from Ireland and immediately back on the grind—Path to Glory game played, weekly games with Jack incoming, and we’re both side-eyeing the incoming Battlescroll because it’s finally going to settle our little meta bet. From there, we jump into the Adepticon reveals, and I start by poking at the 40k announcements because, let’s be real, anything that happens over there can echo into Age of Sigmar later. The big 40k bits: objective circles potentially going away in favor of terrain-based scoring, scoring that changes depending on your army style (combat, movement, etc.), and a vague promise of narrative and competitive lining up. What I’m actually excited about, though, is the app update—built-in score tracking and (supposedly) a way to view your opponent’s rules in-game. If Age of Sigmar ever gets that kind of integrated “game center” experience, I’d be thrilled, because it’s way too hard right now to sanity-check rules without bouncing between apps. Then we get into the real meat: the new Spearhead set in ruined Embergard, with relic-style scoring and a board that actually looks like a city fight. From there it’s Cities of Sigmar hype—new heroes, heavy infantry vibes, grenadiers, and of course the Cogfort, which looks absolutely gigantic and completely unhinged in the best way.
